Frank shocked the world with two big releases, basically back to back. Both are fantastic and deserve repeated listens. Like “All We Got” from Coloring Book (Chance The Rapper), “Nikes” is a perfect lead off track. Almost too perfect. It’s really quite infectious. I’ve listened to this track on repeat probably the most this year. The production is impeccable. Play. Enjoy. Repeat.
Another year…another “best of” list. Below you’ll find my top 25 albums of 2016 (see my favorite EPs here).
Like previous years, this isn’t the quintessential album list of 2016. These are my personal favorites. The albums I couldn’t get enough of. I’m sure you’ll agree with a few and disagree with even more, and that’s exactly how it should be. We all have different tastes and music would be super boring if we all listened and love the same stuff.

(31) Days of Good: 2012 has come to an end. Between the huge amount of good music this year and a much needed vacation, I have once again failed to recognize everything 2012 had to offer. Thanks to Spotify though, you can at least take a look at the 500+ tracks I believe to be the year’s best. But before I close things out, I still need to talk about one more artist and track. Frank Ocean’s channel Orange was my biggest surprise of the year. I hate most RnB, but Ocean isn’t your typical RnB artist. His lyrics are smart and his production is top notch. He really is a one-of-a-kind artist, with huge crossover appeal. Heck, even my wife like’s him, and she hates RnB more than I do.
