A few of my favorite covers from this past year…
Weezer and Wavves teamed up earlier this year for a limited-edition split 7″ that features an unreleased Weezer track and Wavves’ take on “You Gave Your Love To Me Softly.” This song was originally released back in the 90s for the Angus soundtrack (great soundtrack btw and a super underrated movie) and is actually my favorite Weezer song. This Wavves version is super fun and really well done.

GIRLS has always utilized good music, but this track was absolutely perfect for the scene/episode. One of the best Bowie covers I’ve ever heard.
