[watch] Youth Lagoon//July

Yet another fantastic Youth Lagoon music video.  Like “Seventeen” and “Montana” before it, “July” is not your typical music video these days.  I think what I love so much about these videos is how artistic they are.  Every Youth Lagoon video i’ve watched so far tells a story — they are like short films…just a bit shorter.  But enough rambling, check out the video for “July” before, then take the jump and explore more Youth Lagoon.

[watch] Troy & Abed Christmas Rap

And to think, this show is in danger of cancellation, but garbage like Whitney and it’s creepy laugh track is miraculously still on the air.  To be honest, I really shouldn’t be that surprised that one of the funniest, most clever, and well-written series on TV right now is fighting for survival…isn’t that right Arrested Development, Freaks and Geeks, and Party Down?

Anyways, enough with the negativity.  This has probably been posted everywhere by now, but I just watched the last episode of Community last night, so here you go.  By the way, if you haven’t watched this episode, DO IT!  Best episode of the season, maybe the series, and if it’s not at least nominated for an Emmy, I’ll cry foul-play (and maybe even cry a little bit).  This scene in particular was my favorite.  Troy (Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino) and Abed (Danny Pudi aka seriously funny guy) bust out the best Christmas rap since Run DMC’s “Christmas in Hollis”.
