[watch] Crystal Castles//Plague
Crystal Castles’ third full-length is set for release this November. Their latest single “Wrath of God” is coming this Wednesday (9/26). On top of all that, they kick off quite the extensive tour this Thursday (9/27). While we wait for all three, enjoy the video for “Plague”.

And to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of The Kills the band has released “Dream & Drive” — a book of photographs documenting the band’s career, with a selection of intimate behind the scenes, press and live shots taken by their friend and long time collaborator, the renowned photographer Kenneth Cappello.

[on the rise] Desert Stars
Desert Stars are a Brooklyn 5piece and i’m obsessed. They remind me somewhat of Beach House, Frankie Rose, and Letting Up Despite Great Faults, but with a very distinct dreamy/shoegaze/lo fi sound, due in large part to Janelle Best’s impressive lead vocals. As far as I can tell, the “Boys I Like/Farewell Decade” 7 inch split is their only official release, but they are currently in the studio recording their debut full-length due out Spring 2013. In the meantime, enjoy the tracks and video for “Boys I Like” below, then head on over to their bandcamp page and show your support. There’s a definite buzz growing in the blogosphere and I expect big things for Desert Stars.
