HAERTS are set to release their debut EP, Hemiplegia, on September 17 via Columbia Records.

The collection, produced by friend and label mate Jean-Philip Grobler of St. Lucia, features breakout tracks “Wings” and “All The Days” in addition to brand new songs “All For You” and the EP’s title track.  “Wings” is currently available everywhere digitally.

Today, the visual tastemakers at Yours Truly have unveiled an intimate clip of the band performing in their Williamsburg studio, which includes the first glimpse at their song “Heart”.

HAERTS will soon join Washed Out on tour, with dates kicking off September 2 in Victoria, BC and continuing through the month.  The band will also perform as part of Gorilla vs. Bear’s summer party GvsB III at Dallas’ Granada Theater on August 23.

Today, HAERTS shared their official music video for their first single “Wings”.  The video premiered on Gorilla vs. Bear and is directed by Emily Kai Bock, who also created videos for Grizzly Bear and Grimes.  The single “Wings”, along with the Wildcat! Wildcat! remix, is available through Neon Gold on vinyl/digitally today, April 9th.  You can purchase the vinyl here.  Beginning this May, HAERTS will hit the road for their first tour with Shout Out Louds.  HAERTS debut album is due later this year.

Though i’ve only heard two tracks by HAERTS, with one being a remix, the debut album due out this year is still one i’m most excited about.  “Wings” is dream pop at it’s best and the Wildcat! Wildcat! remix has been my jam all week.  Stream both below and stay tuned for more (rumor has it a new single is on the horizon).

I know it’s the Christmas season, but Charli XCX’s synth-pop ballad “Valentine” was one of my favorites this year.  So in keeping with a Valentines theme for today, it’s only right that I highlight The Temper Trap’s “Need Your Love”, along with tracks from the UK’s Citizens!, Brooklyn’s HAERTS (can’t wait to hear more from this duo, probably my most anticipated of 2013), and LA’s Kisses.  And for my anti-Valentine’s Day readers, Deerhoof’s “Breakup Songs” and La Sera’s “Break My Heart”.

I love this song.  It’s been on constant repeat since first listen and i’ve yet to get tired of it.  When you have a chance, definitely check out the music video (one of the year’s best) and the Gigamesh remix.

“Breakup Songs” from the album Breakup Song.  A bit confusing, but after eleven albums of energetic and delightful noise-pop, I expect nothing less.

As far as I know, this track is the first (and only) release from the duo.  I can’t wait to hear more.  Might be my most anticipated of 2013.

Kisses released this single back in August, their first new track since their 2010 debut, The Heart of the Nightlife.  I’m hoping this is the precursor of a new album in 2013.

Sees the Light is the second album by Katy Goodman (Vivian Girls, All Saints Day), whose pure and melodious voice, masks a tragically beautiful breakup record.

Great follow up to 2009’s Conditions.  Leadoff track, “I Need Your Love”, has been my favorite since first listen, but “Trembling Hands”, “Miracle”, and “Where Do We Go From Here” are a few more tracks worth a listen.
