Rumor has it the robots are plotting a world tour in 2017.
A new website Alive 2017 has popped up and that alone makes me believe something big is on the horizon. Daft Punk produced two live albums, Alive 1997 and Alive 2007, named after their two tours. The timing also fits with Daft Punk playing live every ten years.
This could easily be a big internet hoax to get way too many people excited, but I believe (hope) it’s legit. Stay tuned.
The first single from Daft Punk’s upcoming Random Access Memories is out now. “Get Lucky” features Pharrell Williams and Nile Rodgers and it’s fantastic.
