Childish Gambino was on Conan earlier this week in support of his recently released LP, Camp. He performed one of my favorite tracks, “Heartbeat”, and he absolutely killed it.
Camp is most likely gonna end up as my favorite hip hop album of 2011 and if you haven’t given it a proper listen, you’re definitely missing out. Go hear it now on Spotify or simply take my word for it and just download it on iTunes.

The debut LP from comedian Donald Glover’s hip-hop alter ego Childish Cambino, Camp, is due out November 15th via Glassnote Records. The album’s lead single, “Bonfire”, debuted back in September and just yesterday, Mr. Glover dropped the video for “Bonfire”, which is a bit creepier than his video for “Freaks and Geeks” (to say the least). No joke, I could probably devote this blog exclusively to covering Childish Gambino and posts would be more consistent and abundant.
Hot on the heels of his last offering (The Longest Text Message), Mr. Gambino (aka Donald Glover, aka The Hardest Working Person in Show Biz) just dropped yet another brand new track, Break (All Of The Lights). Originally a Kanye track, Gambino makes it his own covering all the music, singing the Rhianna hook, and contributing some solid flows. I for one like this more than the original, but i’m not the biggest Kanye fan. Give the track a listen and let me know what you think.
Childish Gambino just dropped a brand new track, The Longest Text Message (free download, grab it now), and posted it to his SoundCloud page. No surprise here, but I love this track. To be honest, I don’t think there’s a track by him that I haven’t loved.
