Since way back in 1991, Acid House Kings have been creating some of the best indie pop and Music Sounds Better With You will not disappoint. The Hype Machinehad the entire album available to stream a couple of weeks ago and I pretty much listened to just that for the entire week. The video featured below is for the track, Would You Say Stop? — a track that’s pure pop bliss…and just happens to be available for free download courtesy of labrador records.
Danish singer Oh Land is just about to drop her latest (self titled, out March 15th) and the good people at Hype Machine have the entire album available to stream…needless to say, I’ve kinda obsessed with Oh Land right now and just stumbled upon her video for Son Of A Gun.
Over 4 million people have viewed this video on YouTube…so there’s a good chance you’ve already seen it, but apparently I live under a rock and I just watched it for the first time today. If you also live under a rock and haven’t watched this video, check it out below. And even you don’t like the video, it’s really hard not to enjoy the song.
I Remember is probably my favorite track from Odd Blood and Yeasayer was nice enough to give away the EP as a little Valentines Day gift. Enjoy the video below and don’t hesitate to grab the I RememberEP while you still can (it’s free, so no excuses).
Who would have thought Kermie, Animal, and Cookie Monster were the next supergroup?
That thought never crossed my mind until I watched this unofficial video for LCD Soundsystem’sDance Yrself Clean, arguably the best song on This is Happening. And even though it’s quite obvious that Henson and Co. had nothing to do with this production, I tip my hat to director and producer, Javier Douglas.
Canadian indie rock outfit, The New Pornographers, released one of the best albums of 2010 (Together). In 2011, they released one of the best music videos.
This definitely isn’t breaking news. This has been floating all over the blogosphere for quite a while now and even though most of you have probably already watched this, I couldn’t resist posting it — the video (and song) is just too good and I would see this movie in a heartbeat if it were ever made (watch the video and you’ll understand what I’m talking about).
