shout out louds tour dates
one of sweden’s finest, the shout out louds, are gearing up to release “work” on feb. 23rd and a north american tour this spring. lucky for all us los angelenos, they’ll be closing out the tour at the el rey. check the dates below and get your tickets early, i heard brooklyn show sold out super fast.

this is somewhat old news, but i just stumbled upon it.
edward sharpe and the magnetic zeros (one of my favorite new bands and one of favorite albums of ’09) are producing a feature-length musical. the film will be made up of 12 parts, where each part is a music video that, in its entirety, will tell a story.
part 1, “desert song”, was released back in june and part 2, “kisses over babylon”, was more recently released nov. 24th. both videos can be watched on the bands myspace page. i’ll do my best to update you all when parts 3-12 are released.

one of the only things "vampire" i can handle these days
vampire weekend’s follow up to 2008’s self titled, “contra”, is set to be released this coming tuesday (1/12/10). i was surprisingly pleased with vw’s first release and have been looking forward to the sophomore effort.
