UPDATE: coachella 2010


the official lineup for coachella has been announced and it’s quite impressive. personally, i’m most excited about saturday’s lineup, but all three days are worth attending. here are some of the highlights for each day:


friday, april 16th: jay-z, passion pit, she & him, echo & the bunnymen, fever ray, and grizzly bear

saturday, april 17th: the dead weather, the xx, mew, edward sharpe & the magnetic zeros, & the ravenoettes, and mgmt

sunday, april 18th: gorillaz, thom yorke, phoenix, matt & kim, yann tiersen, and spoon

shout out louds tour dates

one of sweden’s finest, the shout out louds, are gearing up to release “work” on feb. 23rd and a north american tour this spring. lucky for all us los angelenos, they’ll be closing out the tour at the el rey. check the dates below and get your tickets early, i heard brooklyn show sold out super fast.

this is somewhat old news, but i just stumbled upon it.


edward sharpe and the magnetic zeros (one of my favorite new bands and one of favorite albums of ’09) are producing a feature-length musical. the film will be made up of 12 parts, where each part is a music video that, in its entirety, will tell a story.

part 1, “desert song”, was released back in june and part 2, “kisses over babylon”, was more recently released nov. 24th. both videos can be watched on the bands myspace page. i’ll do my best to update you all when parts 3-12 are released.
