Phantogram just released the video for “Don’t Move”, from 2011’s Nightlife EP. The duo also just announced some European shows and according to their facebook page, they’re writing and recording. I’m very much looking forward to some new Phantogram. Stay tuned.
Vampire Weekend performed a brand new track, “Unbelievers”, on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night (they also performed “Oxford Comma” as a web exclusive). Though they’ve been laying low for the last year or so, it looks like some new stuff is in the works. According to Ezra Koening, “We’ve been working like maniacs for a long time. The time is not so far away, we promise.”

M83 recently unveiled a stunning video for their song “Steve McQueen,” off of 2011’s Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming. The video, directed by Balthazar Auxietre and Sylvain Derosne, is the winner from the competition run in partnership with Genero TV. Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming is available now on Mute, while the Steve McQueen single is available to pre-order on iTunes, with a release set for Nov 25th, featuring remixes by Maps, SALM, BeatauCue and Alluxe. And in his spare time, Anthony is scoring the new film from the director of Tron: Legacy, Joseph Kosinski. The movie, titled Oblivion stars Tom Cruise and will be released April 12, 2013.
