[watch] The xx//Swept Away
The xx unveiled a brand new track while playing a sold out show in LA last week. The new song is “Swept Away” and big thanks to youtube user, mysugarspun, for capturing video of the new track. Enjoy.

The new LP Coexist from The xx is easily my most anticipated release of 2012 and after patiently waiting months for new material, you can now stream the new track “Angels”. I love love love this track and fears of a sophomore bust have slipped away. Coexist will be released September 10th via Young Turks (preorder today from iTunes and get Angels instantly).

The band’s sophomore LP seems more and more likely to be released this year. I’m betting on a late summer or early fall release, considering their headlining festival stops at Primavera Sound and Bestival, but I could be way off. [on the road] The xx
The xx just announced 3 months worth of European shows, set to begin later this month (sign up for the London ticket lottery here). This is fantastic news and makes the probability of a 2012 sophomore release, and hopefully some US shows, that much higher. Europe dates are below and stay tuned for (hopefully) more xx updates.
