Out of the Office

I’m off to San Francisco for Outside Lands and won’t be back until Monday.  For those of you unable to attend, stream the festival live (thanks to Tunein) or enjoy the playlist below.  Either way, hope you have a fantastic weekend, because I know I will.

Outside Lands 2012

The daily lineups were finally announced (now all we need are some actual set times).  Saturday is definitely the day not to miss.  Which day are you most excited about?

Favorite Albums of 2012 (so far): Part 4

Sorry for the delay, but here it is, the fourth and final post of my favorite albums of 2012 (so far).  If I had to rank my favorite albums of the year today, at least three of the albums below would make the cut.  But alas, I still have about 5 months to narrow it down, but please check back in December to see who makes the cut.  If you haven’t already, be sure to check out parts 1-3 (part 1//part 2//part3) and please, leave a comment below, or look me up on twitter or facebook, and let me know what your favorite albums of 2012 are (so far).

[new music roundup] 5.29.12

Short and sweet today.  I’m still on vacation, but the latest from Sigur Rós hits stores tomorrow and I can’t ignore it.  You’ll definitely want to check out Largehearted Boy, because even with the limited releases this memorial week, there’s still a handful of great releases worthy of a listen (including releases from Edward Sharpe and the magnetic Zeros, Regina Spektor, Swans, and The Walkmen).

What are your favorite new releases this week?
