[on the road] Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros
It took them quite a while, but Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros have finally released the follow up to 2009’s Up From Below. Though it was originally slated to be a double album, the band decided to split the material into two separate full lengths. Here was released at the end of last month and the next is planned for a late 2012 release. So while we wait for the release, the band will be touring quite extensively around Europe and North America in support of both albums. [on the road] Sleigh Bells
Sleigh Bells are finishing up their tour supporting Red Hot Chili Peppers, but once they’re done with that, the duo will hit the road on their own summer tour this July. The headlining shows kick off July 2nd in Burlington, VT, and wrap at DC’s Merriweather Post Pavillion on July 22nd, where they’ll hit the stage with Hot Chip and James Murphy! Throughout the tour, Sleigh Bells will be joined by Class Actress and Jel for a handful of stops. They’ll also be making some festival stops, including Forecastle and Pitchfork. As of right now, there are no west coast stops are set, but hopefully that will change as tour gets closer.

The xx just announced 3 months worth of European shows, set to begin later this month (sign up for the London ticket lottery here).
