Later this Fall, Cults are set to release the highly anticipated follow-up to their 2011 self-titled, debut release (my favorite album of 2011, i might add). Written and recorded over the course of 2012 in the band’s home base of New York City, Staticis produced by Cults with support from Shane Stoneback (Sleigh Bells, Vampire Weekend) and Ben Allen (Animal Collective, Washed Out). Today the band shares a self-directed album teaser which features new tracks “We’ve Got It” and “So Far”. Static will be released October 15.
New Zealand’s The Naked and Famous are set to release their sophomore album, In Rolling Waves, on September 17th (via Republic). I loved their first album, Passive Me, Aggressive You, so i’m very much looking forward to their follow-up. Stream the lead single “Hearts Like Ours” below.
