hot chip, the british electropop band probably best known for the 2008 track “ready for the floor”, tried to slip their latest single, “one life stand”, under our noses. luckily, to share it with you, because it’s another great track from 2009.
she & him is set to release the follow up to one of 2008’s best albums, volume one. the duo recently sat down with paste magazine and discussed some details regarding the new album, volume two, which is complete and set for a spring 2010 release.
there was so much good music this past year, it was much harder than i expected to choose only fifteen. in order to make the necessary cuts, i based my decisions on replay value and the entirety of the album. for example, the most recent stellastarr* album, “civilized” was an excellent album and i could listen to the track “freak out” all the time, but it wasn’t anywhere close to their debut album (self titled) that has been in my car stereo since 2003.
