I’m a sucker for infectious indie pop gems and Sjowgren are definitely feeding my addiction. The Bay Area trio released “Seventeen” last year and I was impressed. Last month they dropped their latest single, “Now & Then,” I now I’m hooked. Stream both tracks below.

There’s something about this song that gets me every time I listen, but I can’t really put it down in words. Luke De-Scisio has a way to make a stripped down and subdued song like “Anywhere” sound so mesmerizing and powerful. Inspired by the likes of Jamie xx, HAIM, St Vincent, and Miike Snow, but with a sound all her own, solo female artist PATHS is gearing up for big year. “Neoprene” is the debut single and it’s a synth-pop banger packed with looped guitars, jolting percussion, and vocal samples. Enjoy.
