There’s something about this song that gets me every time I listen, but I can’t really put it down in words. Luke De-Scisio has a way to make a stripped down and subdued song like “Anywhere” sound so mesmerizing and powerful. What are your favorite new releases this week?
The New Pornographers are set to release a new album, Whiteout Conditions, later this Spring and today they dropped their first new song since 2014’s Brill Bruisers. The new single, “High Ticket Attractions,” is classic Pornographers. So in other words, it’s indie pop gold.
Whiteout Conditions is out April 7 via the bands own label Collected Works (pre-order).
“I Had To Laugh” is the latest single from producer/film composer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Kan Wakan. The song features the impeccable vocals of Rachel Fannan and the cinematic sounds of the Sofia Philharmonic. It is pure beauty.
