Diego Garcia’s solo debut (Laura) was one of my favorite releases of 2011. Needless to say, I was very excited for Garcia’s sophomore effort, Paradise.
Hands down…one of the best new records i’ve listened to in quite awhile. Paradise really is a must listen, beginning to end, but the stand out tracks include: “Dónde Estás”, “She Dances”, “Sunnier Days”, “Darling Please”, and “Start With The End.”
And if you have a chance, catch one of Diego’s live performances. He’s on tour now and I promise you won’t be disappointed.
Static, the sophomore effort from Cults, is out next week (Oct 15 on Columbia Records – pre-order). This is easily one of the 2013 releases i’m most excited for. Needless to say, I was quite pleased to wake up this morning and see that NPR Music has the entire record available to stream.
Today, Cults released a music video for their single “High Road” off of their forthcoming sophomore release Static, out October 15 on Columbia Records [pre-order]. The Hiro Murai directed clip, that stars the duo, is a hypnotic drive through a subconscious set afire.
To celebrate the release of Static, Cults will perform at this year’s CMJ Festival in New York City starting with The Syndicate “Conflict of Interest” event on October 15 at Brooklyn Bowl, followed by an extensive headlining tour.
