Sasquatch 2012

The folks behind the Sasquatch Music Festival released the 2012 lineup a few days back, and I must say, this might be the most impressive festival lineup so far this season.

This year’s lineup includes: Jack White, Beck, Bon Iver, Tenacious D, The Shins, Beirut, Girl Talk, Feist, Metric, The Head & The Heart, M. Ward, Childish Gambino, The Civil War, The Joy Formidable, The Roots, Explosions In The Sky, St. Vincent, Little Dragon, tUnE-yArDs, Spiritualized, fun., Dum Dum Girls, Alabama Shakes, Beats Antique, SBTRKT, Star Slinger, Com Truise, Purity Ring, Star Fucker, Zola Jesus, Shearwater, Active Child, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Yellow Ostrich, We Are Augustines, Said The Whale, and many more.

Diamond Doves was formed in 2010 by longtime friends and musical collaborators Nick Kinsey, Brigham Brough and Wyndham Garnett. The sound of Diamond Doves is the meeting of their three distinct vocal, instrumental and compositional personalities. With a seemingly endless instrumental palette and a penchant for genre-hopping, Diamond Doves draw from a wide range of influences both foreign and domestic, new and old. [premiere] The Jealous Sound//A Gentle Reminder

A Gentle Reminder is the long-awaited follow-up to The Jealous Sound’s debut LPKill Them with Kindness, which was named one of Spin‘s best albums of ’03 and described by Pitchfork as, “somewhere between the professionalism of Jimmy Eat World’s Bleed American and your favorite slice of homegrown emotion.”  The newest LP promises not only to be a worthy successor of the highly-praised debut, but reveals the foursome at the top of its craft.
