[hot off the press] Sigur Rós//Valtari

I’m a little late on this, so unless you’ve been living under a rock all day, you’ve already heard the great news.  But just in case you’re still in the dark, i’m oh so happy to tell you that Sigur Rós is set to release Valtari, their first LP since 2008!

Though the band’s stunning concert film Inni and Jonsi’s incredible work on last year’s We Built a Zoo definitely helped tide me over until this point, the last 4 years have felt like 40.  Words simply cannot describe how excited I am for this release, but 2012 just got real.

While we all wait for May 28th to arrive, stream the first new track “Ekki Múkk” below.  Be sure to cheek out the video while you’re at it, which just happens to be directed by Jonsi’s sister, Inga Birgisdóttir.

[watch] Clock Opera//Man Made

Yesterday, Clock Opera released the official video for one of their newest tracks, “Man Made”, which will be featured on the debut LP Ways To Forget.  I’m super excited for the release of this release and I expect it to be featured on many “best of lists” at the end of the year.  In the meantime, enjoy the video below and stay tuned for more.
