recently, a buddy of mine posed this question: “what musical artists have you discovered in 2010 that I should listen to right now?”. this inspired me to start sharing my recent discoveries with the intraweb. now before i dive into this, i want to make one thing clear. while i will try to focus on new tracks (aka new releases), sometimes i come across tracks from years back that i fall in love with and want to share with all of you. enough rambling, time to move on to the good stuff.


this first discovery comes to us from norway, where they have a pretty good following, but until this year have not had much of a presence in the US. that is all about to change though. their debut album, decay decay, was just released in norway and will be released internationally fall 2010. they will also be playing a couple of new york shows and SXSW.

i must have been living under a rock for the past 6 months because i totally missed out on inaugural launch of woxy.com’s very own iphone app. for those of you that don’t know, woxy.com is an indie, alternative radio station based in austin, tx, but reaches most of it’s listeners via the world wide web. if you haven’t checked out the station, i highly recommend it, and if you have an iphone, download the app now (definitely my new favorite app)!

the antlers have been touring for about a good solid month now, but only made three stops on left coast. fortunately, the band has extended the tour and will be coming back for a few more shows:
