M.I.A.//Vicki Leekz

I’m a bit late on this, but after the big letdown Maya (/\/\/\Y/\‎) turned out to be, I was weary to once again jump on the opportunity to promote the latest from M.I.A. With that said though, i’m happy to say that the recently released mixtape, Vicki Leekx, is the M.I.A. we all know and love.  I’m not sure if this is an apology or maybe an impostor was responsible for Maya (/\/\/\Y/\‎), and I don’t really care…the mixtape’s good.

ON THE ROAD: BRAIDS

Braids are not only readying their debut full-length album (Native Speaker, out Jan. 18th, pre-order here, stream it here), but they heading out on a pretty big NA tour with the likes of Baths, Star Slinger, and Asobi Seksu.

Check the dates below and adjust your calendar if need be, I have a feeling these shows will be really good. I’m gonna try to catch both the Los Angeles (Troubadour) show and Costa Mesa (Detroit Bar), that way I don’t miss out on any of the aforementioned bands.

Iron and Wine Perform/Stream Entire New Album

Iron and Wine recently played a secret show in Manhattan in which the new album, Kiss Each Other Clean, was performed in it’s entirety.

The new album comes out January 24th, but in the meantime, you can stream the entire performance here. (you can pre-order the new album here)
You can also catch Iron and Wine live at the Wiltern (Los Angeles) on January 25th.
