LIV (Lykke Li, Miike Snow’s Andrew Wyatt and Pontus Winnberg, Peter Bjorn & John’s Björn Yttling and producer Jeff Bhasker) dropped their second single last week. Still no word on when we can expect their debut full-length, but “Dream Awake” is a vivid, dream pop gem and a fine consolation while we wait.

What are your favorite new releases this week?
More new Gambino. This time it’s the smooth, soulful, and very Prince-esque, “Redbone.” And if you haven’t already, definitely check out the other new track “Me and Your Mama.” Both new tracks are from Awaken, My Love!, out Dec 2 via Glassnote.
Electric Guest are back with a brand new tune – “Dear To Me.” The new song, which features Haim on backing vocals, is from their forthcoming album (due out early 2017).
As I prep #31days2016, I find myself exploring the tunes from past (31) Days of Good. It seems counter productive when i’m writing about the best new music of the year, but listening to old favorites seems to motivate me more. Last month, Brendan and I revisited the early blogspot days of Concrete Opinions and 35mmBeats on Revolutions Per Minute and had a blast. So, as we approach the “best of season”, i thought it would be nice to share my old (31) Days of Good playlists.
