Today’s GOOD features four acts with very distinct and fascinating sounds. First up, the rich sound of authenticity that is Bon Iver (arguably the Arcade Fire of 2011). After that, the sensational sounds of Athens (GA) based groovesters, Reptar (big thanks to Ethel for turning me on to these guys). Next up, the solo stylings of the very talented Merrill Garbus, aka tUnE-YarDs. And last but not least, some lo-fi folk from Brooklyn’s Woods.

I had originally planned this post for Christmas day, but if you’re anything like me, you’ve been listening to Christmas music since Thanksgiving. The holidays aren’t complete with out some holiday tunes and hopefully you’ll find some new favorites in today’s GOOD. So in the immortal words of Billy Mack, “So if you really love Christmas, C’mon and let it snow.” [p.s. i’m not 100% certain that all of these tracks came out this year, apologies in advance]
