As you probably already know, Anthony Gonzales (M83) scored the soundtrack to the new Tom Cruise flick, Oblivion, along with Joseph Trapanese (who helped Daft Punk with Tron: Legacy). M83 recently unveiled a stunning video for their song “Steve McQueen,” off of 2011’s Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming. The video, directed by Balthazar Auxietre and Sylvain Derosne, is the winner from the competition run in partnership with Genero TV. Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming is available now on Mute, while the Steve McQueen single is available to pre-order on iTunes, with a release set for Nov 25th, featuring remixes by Maps, SALM, BeatauCue and Alluxe. And in his spare time, Anthony is scoring the new film from the director of Tron: Legacy, Joseph Kosinski. The movie, titled Oblivion stars Tom Cruise and will be released April 12, 2013.
